Susan Lynn Hedrick

Susan Lynn Hedrick was born on February 11, 1960 in Haney, British Columbia to Olive and Woodrow Hedrick. Susan was the thirteenth child and had five brothers and ten sisters.

Susan was predeceased by parents Woody and Olive; sisters Barbara, Mildred, Helen and Carol; brother Ken; and niece Michelle. She is survived by daughters Patricia (Scott), Morgan (Randy), Marissa (Mackenzie), and grandson Luca. She will be dearly missed by many, including her many nieces and nephews.

On April 10, 2021 at approximately 4:44 pm, at home in Keremeos BC, Sue bravely passed from this life to the next. She was showered with love, prayers, songs, and surrounded by family.

Sue was a nurturer and protector, and this was part of the reason she was such an amazing foster parent for 15+ years. She always had a compassionate ear when you needed to talk, a safe place to stay, and was certainly the strength and roots of our large family. Her family was so important to her and her dearest wish in this life was for her family to reconnect and support each other.

There will be a small graveside service at the Hatzic Cementary in June. We will be gathering virtually online that evening to share and celebrate her life. If COVID-19 restrictions ease off, then we will do a larger service at that point.
