Mohrea Halingten Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mohrea Halingten (nee Maas). Mohrea passed peacefully in her sleep on 05/18/2022, her 72nd birthday in Penticton, BC.

Mohrea is survived by her husband, Garett, of 47 years, daughters Colendah (Greg), Alannah and Shaayna, who lives in Australia with grandsons, William and James, whom she adored.

Mohrea was a remarkable woman who was never afraid to take on a challenge. She never let anyone tell her she couldn’t do something – she was often able to prove that, indeed, she could. Everything she did, she did with great passion.

Mohrea was so full of light and laughter, and easy conversations that could last until sunrise. Her wisdom, her guidance, her love and laughter are indelible. Always fearless and strong, Mohrea was a shining example to always do your best, listen to your heart and to not be afraid of change.

She loved life and it loved her right back. Nothing loved is ever lost. Mohrea was one of a kind.
